A new study by the researchers at Chigago University has shown that sex is considered more satisfying in countries where men and women share more equality. Austria has the highest rates of sexual satisfaction among countries worldwide. Canada, Spain, Belgium and the United States also reported very high rates of enjoyment within peoples sex lives. Japan ranked the lowest with only 25.7% of folks reporting a good quality of romantic pleasure.
These kinds of studies can really help you to appreciate living in a country where men and womens rights are shared.

Girls Getting Into Gizmos
Below is copied from a Wired article on a website that encourages women to get into electronics and do it yourself projects:
A new web-based show encourages young women to tune in and associate DIY less with bread making and more with breadboard wiring.
Created by Alison Lewis, a web designer and instructor at Parsons School of Design, Switch is a free online show connects young women with technology by guiding them through fashion and design projects.
Lewis said she hopes “to inspire people with design and to get young girls thinking about how electronics are approachable and not so scary.”
Diana Eng of Project Runway fame co-hosted the first episode, which is now available at the Switch site. She instructs viewers on how to make a recordable talking picture frame. Future episodes — Lewis hopes to post two a month — will feature design-slash-tech projects such as electronic pillows.
International Women’s Day
Today is International Women’s Day and in Toronto tonight their is a fundraising event happening.

Pinball Clemons vs. A History of Violence
With the rapidly mounting history of gun violence in Toronto, there has been a lot of talk of law-and-order solutions to the problem, but that doesn’t come even close to addressing the real issue.
So it’s nice to see that the government of Ontario, along with erstwhile football star “Pinball” Clemons, is launching an initiative to invest $15 million into programs for at-risk youth in marginalized communities throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
“The Youth Challenge Fund — is it a solution? Absolutely not,” Clemons said. “This is a program that builds into tomorrow. This is not something that is going to today eradicate violence.” We’re inclined to agree.
New Devices to Aid World’s Poor
Segway Scooter inventor Dean Kamen is at it again. But this time instead of helping those in rich countries to get off of their feet, he wants to help poor countries get back on their feet!
He’s developed two washing-machine sized devices: one that filters 1000 litres of water per day; and one that continually produces a kilowatt of energy, powered by cow dung.
Kamen has partnered with Iqbal Quadir, of Bangladeshi company Grameen Phone (see our previous coverage of Grameen Bank). Their business model encourages entrepreneurs in developing nations to offer power and water as services to local populations.
