Emote to Live Longer

“Every time a person is forced to repress his true feelings there are negative consequences for his health,” said Professor Dieter Zapf, a researcher into human emotions.

Psychologists at Frankfurt University have done some research and discovered that the more true emotions you show the longer your life should be. The key to success is to show your real emotion, faking it causes more stress and a quicker trip to the grave.

Be true to yourself.

Make Love, Not War

Thousands of people showed their love for peace yesterday by protesting the war in Iraq, Afghanistan, and many other conflicts around the world.

Forbes has an article on the peace movement (in their technology section for some odd reason) and the CBC has a much better article that covers the international scale of the peace movement.

For those of you who couldn’t make it out to a rally you can always email your representatives in your government.

MIT Researchers Restore Sight to Blind Rodents

Scientists at the Massachusets Institute of Technology were able to restore sight to rodents blinded by brain damage. They grew brain cells on a nano-scale artificial scaffolding, which later dissolves away.

It is hoped that this technology can one day be developed enough to treat human patients who have suffered vision loss due to stroke, spinal cord injuries or other nervous ailments.
