CN Tower Climb

On Saturday, April 29, 2006, the WWF is sponsoring the annual Toronto CN Tower Climb to raise money to fight global warming. Having personally climbed the CN Tower before, I can say the experience alone is worth it, and raising money for a good cause is just icing on the cake. For more information just click here.

Parking Density Increased by 600%

InOut Designers have a project, made by Adrien Rovero, that allows for 6 people to park in the space that one car usually takes up.

It’s a really groovy idea that I hope to see around all urban centers!

Good Meets for YOU

Another friendly reminder that our meet-up is TONIGHT. As always, check out the details on our page of delicious Good Meets.

Hope to see you there!

Psiphon for Freedom

A program named Psiphon, being created by University of Toronto’s Citizen Lab, can allow people behind firewalls to bypass them completely. The idea is to allow those living in countries that have national firewalls to get around the state’s censoring mechanisms, and access information that is otherwise hard to get at.

The way the program works is rather clever: it uses a connection port that is used by banks for secure transfer.
