  1. I thought there was a small country somewhere in the East where the economy was run on happiness, and they purported to be the happiest place on earth (aside from Disneyland, Disneyworld, and Euro Disney – and the knock off Disney in China). They didn’t make the list!

  2.  Happiness 

What is happiness? Is it really as simple as it seems? We all know what it feels like; an awesome feeling, that makes you smile, we have all had this experience, I hope, but have you ever really thought about happiness?

Happiness is what you would consider a feeling or sense, but is it more? Well, some people say that there are actually ways to measure happiness and through studies, people have found that older people are generally happier than younger people. This is because the younger people have more stress factors in their life such as jobs, relationships, kids, and money, whereas older people are probably retired without kids and their lives are most likely figured out.

Something else researchers believe about happiness is that it spreads through a crowd like a virus… a good virus, of course!
Aside from age, there are tons of other things that trigger happiness. According to studies, 50% of someone’s happiness comes from genetics and about 10% to 15% of happiness comes from different life elements like socioeconomic status, marital status, health, and income. The other 35-40% is a combination of unknown means and the effect brought about by activities that individuals consciously take part in to become happier.
This means that a whole half of your happiness level is not controlled. The other part, you can control by getting out and doing extra-curricular activities and things that give you pleasure.

Apparently, exercise makes you happier; in the long run, of course! What I mean by this is that you may not feel like getting out to go for a run, or to go to the YMCA for a workout, but after you did get out to do the activity, you’ll probably feel great! One reason is probably that you’re proud of yourself. The second reason is because when you exercise, you release something with a big name that I would rather not say; in other words know as a happiness hormone which, of course, makes you happy!

My view on happiness is that you should be happy all the time and not waste a minute of life because most people only live to be about 70-80 years old. If you have an unhappy life, by the time you’re dead, you’ll probably regret it and not have had a life worth living. This is why you should always strive to have fun and get the most out of life in anything you do from sports to watching paint dry; always have fun and be happy!

This is my speech on happiness!!! Any suggestions?? 🙂
    Have a happy day!! :))
