If we were to convert our trains to run on just electricity instead of diesel or diesel electric, we would see a whole lot less green house gases. We would see less dependence on oil. We would see more hope for the future for our children and our air
would be better to breath.
We could get some of the electricity back if we put generators on the rail cars with wheels which tuck up underneith them and come down when prompted by a computer. This would add safety to the trains at the same time and using them to produce power when stopping the trains would be able to stop in shorter distances which could prevent some major train accidents because of the added traction.
Harness the energy fo rivers or tides by putting barges on them with generators instead of dams. This allows the salmon to migrate freely and still get the energy of the water to create power.
